Eaton County Humane Society – Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP)

Are you a low income pet owner in Eaton County, Michigan that needs help to spay or neuter your pet? ECHS is here to help! Eaton County Humane Society is able to assist by discounting spay neuter surgeries for needy owners.

Do I Qualify?

  • Do you live in Eaton County, Michigan?
  • Are you at least 18yrs old?
  • Are you low income, on SSI, disability or financial assistance?
  • Can you use the voucher within a 30 day issuance period?

If so, you qualify! Please fill out the application at the Eaton County Humane Society website. You will hear from an ECHS representative within 5 business days. This program is for already owned family pets. This program is not for breeders, shelters, humane societies or rescue groups.

If you meet all qualifications but have no transportation, let us know and we will do our best to arrange transportation for your pet to & from the clinic. Surgeries are performed at the Capital Area Humane Society clinic located at 5919 South Cedar Street, Lansing, MI 48911.

SENIOR PETS: Pets 7 years and older are considered seniors. Prior to spay neuter surgery, senior pets are required to have a “senior blood panel”. The cost of this is at the owners expense. The clinic offers those services but it must be done 1 week prior to surgery. Call 517-908-0756 for pricing.
